Comparison

IndexNow vs Google Indexing API

IndexNow notifies participating engines about general URL changes. Google’s Indexing API is limited to eligible JobPosting and livestream BroadcastEvent pages. Indexaro keeps those scopes explicit.

For ordinary Google pages, use Search Console, accurate sitemaps, and crawlable internal links—not the Google Indexing API.

Use IndexNow directly when…

You only need Bing coverage, you are integrating at the CMS level, or you want the minimal overhead of a simple HTTP request. IndexNow is also built into several CMSs and plugins natively.

Use Indexaro when…

You need multi-site URL health checks, verified search data, IndexNow history, team access, or policy-aware Google API management for eligible page types.
